2015 Environmental Awards!!

This year marked the inaugural Urban Agriculture Awards, sponsored by the City of Raleigh Environmental Advisory Board and M/I Homes, to encourage the development of urban agricultural efforts within the city. Fourteen local community gardens received monetary gifts ranging from $250 to $1,000.

National Association for the Education of Young Children :: ACCREDITATION!!
A Safe Place Childcare received the NAEYC accreditation, which is like receiving the good housekeeping seal of approval. The accreditation is one of the highest standards for child care. The process included on-site observations and 10 standards of measurable objectives. Farm-to-Childcare grant program aims to get more fresh food to kids
A child has a breakfast of homemade waffles, yogurt with fresh blueberries and milk at the Childcare Network on Western Boulevard in Raleigh on Sept. 7, 2016. The daycare has utilized grants to start their own garden and purchase fresh produce from a local farmer to reduce the amount of canned and frozen foods the children eat.
